Cock o' the North (music)

Cock o'the North is a 6/8 march bagpipe tune, for the Great Highland Bagpipe. It is named after Alexander Gordon, 4th Duke of Gordon, who in 1794 raised the Gordon Highlanders, the 92nd Regiment. It is a development of the 17th century English tune Sir Roger de Coverley, found in Playford's Dancing Master.
